Write to Port Moody Council now!

Please take a minute to ask Port Moody to join the Sue Big Oil lawsuit.

Force of Nature Alliance and the Laudato Si’ Movement are working with the Sue Big Oil campaign in Port Moody to request that Port Moody join the Sue Big Oil class action lawsuit. Our community cannot afford the skyrocketing costs of climate change, and we shouldn’t be on the hook for paying the millions of dollars required to protect our city. The fossil fuel industry is the largest cause of climate change and should be required to pay its fair share for the harm it’s caused.

Three BC municipalities (Squamish, Gibsons and View Royal) have already committed to support the Sue Big Oil lawsuit. This is an exciting opportunity for Port Moody to join them.

Please send a letter to Port Moody City Council today to show your support for suing Big Oil! It will be particularly effective if you personalize your letter by adding a few sentences at the beginning. Insert your own text explaining who you are, where in the city you live, and why you are concerned about climate change impacts and costs facing your community.

Come and join us at Port Moody City Hall on February 13, 2024 at 6:30pm to show your support. We will be requesting that City Council join the Sue Big Oil class action lawsuit. More information.
